Carnival Pride
Carnival Pride is a Spirit-class cruise ship operated by Carnival Cruise Line, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Built by Kværner Masa-Yards at its Helsinki New Shipyard in Helsinki, Finland, she was laid down on March 30, 2000, launched on March 29, 2001, and completed and delivered to Carnival on December 12, 2001. She was christened by American scientist and astronaut Tamara Jernigan in Port Canaveral, Florida, on January 7, 2002.
Carnival Pride was built in 2001. Vessels of this generation reflect the design conventions of their construction era: atrium layouts, public-room programming, balcony cabin ratios and propulsion systems all evolved measurably between the 1990s, 2000s and 2010s shipbuilding cycles.
Key reported specifications for Carnival Pride include a gross tonnage of approximately 88,500 GT, a passenger capacity in the vicinity of 2,124, an overall length of approximately 294 metres.
Onboard programming on a vessel of Carnival Pride's profile typically includes multiple dining venues, a central showroom, pool deck areas, a spa and fitness facility, themed bars, and on family-oriented brands children's and teen spaces.
Itineraries assigned to Carnival Pride reflect the operator's seasonal deployment plan, which moves vessels between regions to follow demand and weather. Researching the ship's current and upcoming season gives the most accurate picture of where it will sail.
